Praising Plantain the understated one
The banana tree asks for very little. It grows without ceremony, feeds everyone from the farmer to the kitchen to the feast, and when the meal is done, the leaf it gave becomes the table it was served on.
That's the thing about plantain. It's never in the background because it's ordinary. It's in the background because it already knows it belongs.
This collection is a quiet celebration of that. Earthy stoneware, painted by hand with plantain motifs the broad leaf, the hanging bunch, the flower that most people walk past. Each piece is slightly different from the last. The same pattern, carried differently. That's handcraft. That's the point.
