Tranquil Oasis – Dinner Set

Ripples on a Tranquil Oasis

What you want from a table is stillness. Food placed carefully, people settled in, conversation arriving at its own pace. A meal that feels like the surface of still water undisturbed, unhurried.

And then there are the ripples. A spill. An argument. A laugh that comes from nowhere. The butter passed before it's asked for. The moment someone says something true and the whole table changes.

We crave the peace. But we learn, slowly, to love the ripples that interrupt it. They're evidence that something's alive at the table. That the surface isn't still because nothing's happening it's still because everyone feels settled enough to let things move.

This collection is named for that. The motif is water the concentric rings of a ripple on a surface that wants to be calm. Fine porcelain, hand-painted, in the greens and quiets of an oasis. For the table that knows the difference between stillness and emptiness.
